We are learning about health promotion and physiotherapists’ perspectives about working with patients who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex and Asexual (LGBTQIA+). Our project supervisors are Dr Julie Walters from University of South Australia and Dr Megan Ross from University of Queensland. We would value your assistance to broaden the scope of our health promotion project by distributing online questionnaires to physiotherapists currently practising in your organisation and who would kindly complete this survey. Your contribution would be voluntary and greatly appreciated.

By doing this study, we aim to improve and facilitate access to healthcare and patient comfort for individuals identifying as LGBTQIA+ by better understanding the knowledge, attitudes and beliefs of international physiotherapists. In turn, this may strengthen community action and create a health supporting environment. This project has gained UQ HREC approval (Approval number: 2020000770). Please find the attached documents in this email, which includes the URL https://cutt.ly/physiolgbtint for the online surveys and our poster in three different languages (English/ Spanish/ Deutsch). Feel free to contact us through this email (or the Chief Investigator Dr Megan Ross on m.ross@uq.edu.au) if you require any further clarifications.
